Two bicycles, one in Rome the other one here. Separated by much more than mere miles.
On one sit a well dressed, attractive young woman serenely passing through the throng of workers, vendors, tourists, Apes and fellow riders...on her way with purpose and poise.
On the other sits another young woman. I can't see her face because her knees are in the way. She appears to be riding her child's bike and as she pedals furiously all you can see are her knees as they approach her face. Tattooed, with short- shorts, tank top and a sullen look.
One looking suave and sophisticated, in her element. The other...
Two bikes-six thousand miles. No way to bridge the difference in thought. The difference in miles, huge. The difference in attitude, unbridgeable.
