Some things have to happen regardless of your location. Your hair grows so you cut it. Today, being Tuesday is perfect for such chores. Rocco and Massimo have a shop near the Banco di Roma building by the Chiesa Nuova.
Their shop is compact, neat and clean. With porcelain sinks, granite floors and marble, stucco combination walls. Tipico.
There are two chairs with matching sink consoles. Soccer trophies and pictures for decor. The usual smell of talcum powder, pomade and aftershave.
Being in Rome their is an umbrella stand, but it is being used for someones helmet. Men's bags are hanging on the rack and the normal conversations are going on...sounds just like the shop in Everett when I was a kid. I think my only reservation is being worked on by a bald barber, just seems a bit off. They recognize me now from previous visits and talk a bit as they both speak English.
Time to get out of the chair and move on to the next errand. It's going to be that kind of day.
This is my on line "Collector's Cabinet". It is non-profit and haphazard at best. I leave it to you to sort through and make sense of.The views are mine. The collection reflects some of my interests. But the material must be credited to the vast internet. Otherwise, I never would have been able to amass such a treasure trove.
