Subject to review...

All my plans are subject to review and change. The review may not be my idea and, for that matter, the change either.
Choices, decisions to be made. Stay tuned...

So, I am sitting at 70. That's a speed limit I am totally comfortable with. Oops, that's my age and it isn't subject to review. Should I excavate the old book of bromides, platitudes and cliches? The one that starts, "You are only as old as you act"? Or, perhaps lie down and cry? Plan some changes? Ignore the whole damn thing? I think I hear David Bowie somewhere...ch-ch-changes!

In my dealings with people age has never been a major factor. Usually I was younger than everyone else, things change. The younger folks always tend to look to the future with hope and anticipation, while the older group eyes it with resolve or desperation. Too many get caught up in a rut that they neither escape or attempt to escape.

John Steinbeck, Ray Charles, Jack Keroac and Willie Nelson have all espoused "hitting the road, Jack". Sounds good to me. A new chance to test my innate curiosity. Is the grass greener? If you don't look, you will never know. The hour glass for this particular sand-spit is well past half empty and the blush well off the fruit...it's time. Plan B. It.s time seems to be now.

Subject to review.
