USS Saratoga, CVA-60

Last year, while visiting my daughter in San Antonio, I gave some thought to going to Brownsville for one last viewing. I had been able to see her and her sister the Forrestal when they had been in Middletown, RI. It was a sad, dreary sight then and the idea of what she would look like in the slaughter-house was a bit more than I could deal with. Glad I passed on that one. And, I am equally glad that I and all my division never had to ply our trade. So happy.

Hope some of my old shipmates get to see these shots...they are only mine in the sense that I too was invested in them.
