All of these pictures were taken on my first solo trip after Grace had passed. No guides, no books...most of the time no maps. These places are not stars of the first or second magnitude, they are easily accessible by merely going for a walk. No coins required, but good shoes are, as is appropriate attire. Some churches will send you away if you do not follow their request. Enjoy!
This is my on line "Collector's Cabinet". It is non-profit and haphazard at best. I leave it to you to sort through and make sense of.The views are mine. The collection reflects some of my interests. But the material must be credited to the vast internet. Otherwise, I never would have been able to amass such a treasure trove. The purpose of this exercise is entertainment, naturally mine, but even more so yours. So, please let me know if anything strikes a chord with you.

Chiesa, aka free museums
No one out does the Romans when it comes to churches. This post is about many of the ones I have visited and then lumped into the anonymous bin. Yep, they aren't the upper echelon the elite, no superstars here. Each and every one would be, if a simple change of venue were to be applied. Rome has more churches, bigger churches, more highly ostentatious churches...just more! The photos coming up will show you the pomp, the glory, the magnitude of these absolutely glorious buildings and why they should be included in your grand awakening. Think of them as free museums, enter and gawk! Not in this group of pix is the initial point of entry, The Pantheon. I'll call it Gawker's Heaven. Start there and proceed. Where? Anywhere, it does not matter. Pick one, go in and be amazed.
