This is my on line "Collector's Cabinet". It is non-profit and haphazard at best. I leave it to you to sort through and make sense of.The views are mine. The collection reflects some of my interests. But the material must be credited to the vast internet. Otherwise, I never would have been able to amass such a treasure trove. The purpose of this exercise is entertainment, naturally mine, but even more so yours. So, please let me know if anything strikes a chord with you.

Alice's view
I take photos. It acts as a form of therapy, a memory aid and a kind of self expression. Because there are so many shots on my laptop there has been a suggestion that I might do my own show. My response was a lot more polite than some might have expected, but still negative.
Possibly because I have been spending so much time on here with my memories, I have had a change of mind. Instead of blowing up a bunch of shots and hanging them for view I am putting a few here on my blog. It should provide the same experience without anyone needing to dress up and attend a show.
Here we go.
All of these photos will have a common thread. Reflection. In one form or another I have used a reflective surface to add an extra dimension to each photo. For instance, several of these shots were taken through a window allowing you to see what is being displayed and the reflection shows the site.
From wax museums to clerical garb on display and from site to site the basic technique remains the same, yet each photo differs from the other.
The title of this post, Alice's view, refers to Alice in Wonderland also known Alice's trip through the looking glass. More duality. For me Rome is Wonderland and the camera a looking glass. All of these memories have been accumulated over the past 15 years. That number surprised me too. After looking in the mirror a bit closer, not such a surprise. I am about to put up the last group for this posting. Hopefully you got some enjoyment and hopefully I will have conveyed some of my love for this home that should have been.
...and last; I would love to respond to any reasonable questions you might ask, memory permitting!
